Very rare match worn Maccabi Netanya 2018/19 home shirt, worn by Albanian winger Jahmir Hyka #8 in the Israel State Cup Final against Bnei Yehuda on May 15, 2019 at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa. The match ended in a 1-1 draw after normal time, with Maccabi Netanya losing after a penalty shootout (5-4). Hyka started the match and was substituted after 106 minutes, in extra time.
Hyka joined Maccabi Netanya in January 2019 from San Jose Earthquakes, making 14 appearances in the Israeli League in the second half of the season, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists, as well as making two appearances in the Israeli State Cup. He played with the number 8 shirt in his first season at the club, before switching to #7 for the current 2019/20 season.
Hyka has 47 appearances and 2 goals for the Albanian national team, which he has captained on several occasions. His first goal for Albania, in a 2-0 friendly win against Lichtenstein in 2008, is the quickest goal scored in the history of the Albanian national team - scored after just 46 seconds. Interestingly, his last appearance for Albania was actually against Israel at home in the Nations League in September 2018, and he assisted the only goal of the match in a 1-0 win.
What makes this shirt unique and so rare is of course the special match details printed on the front of the shirt, to commemorate the special occasion. This is very rare, with the State Cup Final being the only match for which match details are printed for Israeli clubs, and not all teams opt to do so (Bnei Yehuda didn't in this case). The shirt is also signed by Hyka on both sides.
