Panathinaikos 2018/19 third - Omri Altman #7 (Greek Super League)

Match issued Panathinaikos 2018/19 third shirt, issued to Israeli attacking midfielder Omri Altman for either the match against Panetolikos away (30/01/2019) or against Panionios away (24/02/2019). Those were the only matches played this season after Altman's return from a long-term injury in which the third shirt was used. In the former, he was an unused substitute in a 1-0 win, while in the latter he started the match and played the full 90 minutes in a 2-0 loss.

Having joined from Hapoel Tel Aviv in summer of 2017, Altman suffered a terrible ACL injury in March 2018, which sidelined him for 10 months. He finally returned to action in January 2019, making 10 appearances in the league this season (mainly as a substitute), scoring one goal and providing one assist, as Panathinaikos finished in a disappointing 8th place. His only goal of the season was the winner in a 1-0 win against Asteras Tripoli in February 2019.

At the end of the season, he returned to Hapoel Tel Aviv after two disappointing, injury-plagued seasons in Greece. In total, Altman made 36 appearances for Panathinaikos in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.

An interesting and cool fact about Panathinaikos shirts is that while local Greek players' names are printed on the shirts in Greek, foreign players' names, such as Altman, are printed in English letters.
